Bangkok Flood Notice @ 27th October 2011

As you may be aware, parts of Bangkok are currently affected by flooding.  IH Bangkok’s school and the accommodation options we offer our students and trainees are all located in low risk areas and are not affected, although localised floods cannot be ruled out over the next week or so.  Furthermore, with the information available to us at present, we are unable to predict how long this situation will continue and which areas will eventually be affected. 

With high tides expected in the Gulf of Thailand and Bangkok over the weekend of the 29th and 30th October, we will be closing the school on these dates.  This is a precautionary measure and we fully expect the school to be open again on the 31st October.

In the meantime, we ask that all of our students and trainees follow the advice offered by the Thai authorities.

 

Cambridge Delta Course

IH Bangkok is pleased to introduce our University of Cambridge Delta course, the only one in Thailand and the only one in South East Asia that is open to all.

The 8 week intensive course will run between the 10th October and the 9th December 2011 and will incorporate all 3 modules.

Thai School Summer Break

IH Bangkok is pleased to introduce our Thai School Summer Break classes.  Our general English classes are:

  • Available from Monday to Friday between 9am and 10:30am, and 11am and 12:30pm.
  • At Young Learner, Starters, Movers and Pre-intermediate levels.

We are also running our popular International School Entrance Exam Preparation and Conversational English courses between 1pm and 3pm from Monday to Friday.

Thai School October Break

IH Bangkok is pleased to introduce our Thai School October Break classes.  Our general English classes are:

  • Available from Monday to Friday between 10am and 12pm, and 1pm and 3pm.
  • At Young Learner, Starter, Mover and Pre-intermediate levels.

Part-Time CELTA Course

IH Bangkok is extending its popular CELTA course by introducing a part-time CELTA course to run at the training centre in Bangkok between the 24th January and the 4th April 2011.  The course is designed for teachers already working in the Bangkok area and for people who do not have the time to dedicate to our intensive 4 week course.  The training sessions will take place over 10 weeks on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings between 6pm and 9:30pm, and Saturdays between 9am and 4pm.

Say Hello to Ajarn Matt


We would like to welcome Matt Miles to the IH Bangkok family.  Matt is 28 years old from Brighton in England.  He has a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and the Cambridge CELTA from here at IH in Bangkok, which he loved so much that, when the opportunity arose to stay in Thailand and teach here with us, he jumped at the chance!
