The Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) is a standardized test for college admissions in the United States. The SAT is taken by high school leavers. SAT scores are intended to supplement secondary school grades and consist of three components: Critical Reading, Mathematics and Writing. The score range is from 600 - 2400.

What kind of exam is it?
The General Equivalency Diploma (GED) test is a standardized test to measure the skills required of high school graduates in the United States and Canada. The American Council of Education administers the GED tests several times during the year. The same GED test is given in all states and is considered an equivalent to a high school diploma.
In order to pass the GED tests candidates generally need to answer 60 to 65 percent of the questions correctly. Candidates need a standard score of at least 410 in each of the GED subject areas in order to pass the GED test and an overall average score of 450 for the five tests.
