Dylan Ung, aged 19, needed to pass the GED exam in order to get into one of the top Thai universities - Mahidol University, Bangkok. With IH Bangkok's assistance, he achieved a very impressive 85% in his GED. He is now studying International Business at Mahidol University, Bangkok. "I started studying at International House Bangkok on the recommendation of the British Council. I wanted to make sure I passed the GED in order to get into Mahidol University. I took a 40-hour course and studied Maths, English and Business. I learned loads but because the teachers made the courses lively and interesting it didn't feel like a chore. I successfully passed the exam and am now happily studying at Mahidol University -- one of the top Thai universities. After university I'd like to go into business or film making. Having good English skills is vital to me. Thank you International House Bangkok for helping me on my way. I would highly recommend IH." |

Amir Afrouz, from Iran, studied for one month with us. "Before coming to Bangkok I knew that the teaching system would be completely different to the one we have back in Iran and that was indeed what I found when I started my classes. The welcoming and friendly atmosphere impressed me immensely. To make it brief, I have always wanted to study in a place where everyone contributes and I have achieved that at International House Bangkok. The teachers are always smiling and are more than happy to help me even if the issue is beyond the institution." |
| Andrej Krajnc, Switzerland. Andrej studied with us for three months. "Very few people in Switzerland find it logical to come to study English in Bangkok having Great Britain so close. However, despite such a long trip (half way around the world), it is a worthwhile experience. In my case, I found really good teachers who loved their job. The classes were always in a broadened and relaxed environment but at the same time, very efficient, giving lots of time for informal conversations between myself and my teacher. I have to say that my experience has been totally unforgettable. I was made to feel at all times like a member of the family at International House. I also had the opportunity to travel in a country totally unique in the world. After studying at International House Bangkok for three months I can say that it was one of the best experiences that I've ever had due to the great relationship between my teachers and me. The teachers are professional and the lessons are fun. I'll always have lots of good memories of studying at International House Bangkok." |

Assawenan Tantiwong (Paeng), aged 12, wanted to gain a place at Harrow International School and asked IH Bangkok to help her prepare for the exams. She is now studying there! "The teachers explained the subjects really well. They knew exactly what I needed to do for the exams and taught me what was required, but they also made the lessons fun. I would recommend them to anyone studying English." |
| Wongsathorn Yeh (Tawei), age 16, Shrewsbury International School, Bangkok. International House Bangkok is not a typical institution - they don't just teach you; they take good care of all learners. To me, they are like a group of friends helping me to succeed in my studies. I have been learning with them for about two years. They are friends I can go to and ask for suggestions anytime I want. Most importantly they had a big impact on my IGCSE results. I hated science, especially biology because there was so much new vocabulary to remember and so many facts to learn. I passed the exam with an A grade as well as other IGCSEs -- thank you IH, you saved my life!" |

Chayo Tantivasin (Chayo), age 15, Shrewsbury International School, Bangkok. I love the learning atmosphere at IH Bangkok. The teachers are really friendly and are willing to help you in any way possible. They helped me eliminate my weak areas. The teachers are well-qualified and great at what they do. I think it's the perfect place for students who find their subjects challenging. They make the subjects much easier to understand. The school is convenient for me to get to as it's just a few minutes from the BTS (Skytrain). IH Bangkok enabled me to become more disciplined as they cared about me as a person but demanded punctuality and made me do my homework! It's the perfect place for learning -- a caring environment. |
